Hello friends!

Sometimes life is tough. Things happen, you miss opportunities or people reject you. It can leave you feeling a little beaten down and empty. You can really learn a lot about people in these moments. The spiritual significance of food, body image and healing

Hi friends!

This post is a little different than my usual motivational Friday message. You see, I’ve been thinking lately that you only really see half of me. There is a big part of my life which I was afraid to talk about until now…I need to share about my faith. In all honesty it’s a difficult post to write. It can be easy to be swept up in the human nature of pandering to your ego and allowing your head to get so big you can’t fit through doorways.

But I know that I simply cannot take the credit for my recovery and the person I am. This is me giving due credit to the Creator and Master of my life. Through him all will find love, forgiveness and grace. It is my hope for you that you will find peace in his arms, as I do.

How do you love yourself when you don’t like yourself?

Hello friends!

Sometimes there are people in your life who you just can’t stand. For no particular reason, this person just gets under your skin. Unfortunately, as this is the real world and not some cartoon where you can zap them away, we must put up with these people. So we smile, grit our teeth and get on with it. But what do you do when you feel that way about yourself?

Pretty pancakes and a pep talk

Hi friends!

This week has felt like the longest of my entire life. The completion of my final exam and therefore freshman year, saying far too many goodbyes and coming to terms with the fact I don’t have to do anything for 4 whole months! In amongst all that I had a character defining moment. You know, a situation you are forced into that defines who you are by the way you respond to it. I hope you like this post, it’s pretty close to my heart (and that’s not just because it’s about pancakes, promise.)

The wind whipped up my papers and the bugs had a field day attacking my legs. I have but one final pesky exam to get through and then I will be free! Today instead of a recipe I’m sharing a round-up of my favourite links from across the big wide web…

The truth about me…

Hi friends!

This is a very personal post. Today I finally feel that I’m ready to tell my story. I’m ready to share the struggle I went through and the way it continues to affect me today. I really want to be as transparent as possible, because then hopefully you will see I am genuine, and human. We all have our personal trials…and this is mine. I hope that you will take the time to read this, and that something I say will resonate within you.
