Creamy pear smoothie

Hello friends!

I am currently the laziest human being on earth. I have just spent the past two weeks lounging on the couch reading and pottering around the kitchen. I’m finally free of the shackles of study and I intend to enjoy every last lazy second of it. So hopefully you will be seeing more of me again. Monday must-reads!

Hi friends!

We are currently facing unbelievably bipolar weather here in Auckland.

When I got up this morning the sun was shining, birds were singing and I was pretending I didn’t have a chemistry test tomorrow…so I decided to go for a run. Half way through, the sky let loose and by the time I got home I was drenched from head to toe. Then what do you know, two minutes later the sun was streaming down once more.

So I give up. I’m just gonna sit inside with my cup of tea and fluffy socks, and dream up some more recipes to share.

‘Jumble-berry’ crumble

Hey friends!

This week marks the end of life as I know it! As of tomorrow I will be living in the big smoke, starting university.  I can’t say I’m really prepared (I only just found out I am meant to bring a duvet) but in all fairness I’ve watched swallows try to leave their nest and they struggle (flap and cry) just as much as I am. Then there is always the conundrum of what to take with you.  I’ve definitely over-packed…but most of it is food, because God-forbid I should starve! Sensational Overnight oats

Happy New Year! May your 2015 be filled with laughter, victories and exquisite food. I hope you all had great fun celebrating and welcoming in the new year. For our first recipe of the year, I bring you…Overnight oats! Now some of you may be less than enthused about this as you may have not-so-fond memories of gluggy, luke-warm camp porridge, but I can assure you this is nothing like that! Overnight oats are the Rolls Royce as far as oatmeal goes. Not only are they delicious and filling, but also really versatile. I’m giving you 4 variations to try out.
