Hi friends!
I should probably start by apologizing for my strange post earlier this week. If you hadn’t noticed yet (you are very unobservant) I am a bit technologically challenged. Anyway I signed up for Bloglovin to share my blog with more people and to find other excellent bloggers. If you have a minute I highly recommend checking it out!
Today I’m sharing another incredible product with you. This one is particularly dear to my heart. It’s 2015…I believe the new saying should be ‘almond butter is a girl’s best friend.’ Can I get an amen? In case it’s not clear, I am a massive nut butter fan…some would say I am an addict (I’m not. I can stop anytime I want.)
One of my favourite brands is Ceres organics. Not only are they a New Zealand company (buy local and all that…) but they also produce a massive variety of health food products which are amazing.
Ceres almond butter is stocked in most supermarkets and health stores. Search for a stockist near you… here.
My 300g jar came in at $13. Definitely not cheap but then again, nuts are ridiculously expensive. However, I think in this instance you can splurge just the once…go on and treat yourself! I promise you won’t regret it!
The nutritional information is as follows: Each 15g serving contains 362kJ of energy, 3.2g protein, 7.5g of fat and 0.6g sugar.
If you are looking for ways to make the best of your new best friend, I’m here to help:
Carrot cake oatmeal with almond butter: -Serves 1
- 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1/4 c almond milk
- 1/4 c water
- 1/4 carrot, grated
- 1/2 banana, sliced
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp almond butter
Mix all ingredients (except almond butter), place in a saucepan on the stove. Bubble away at a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture has become as thick as desired, remove from heat and put into a bowl. Top with the almond butter and anything else you would like. Enjoy!
This product gets 10 stars out of 10.
Perfection.
