Product review: Raglan coconut yoghurt

Hi friends!

It’s my pleasure to introduce you to a fantastic new product. If you have never tried coconut yoghurt before…you are in for a treat. It is light and tangy, but not as sour as greek yoghurt. Even its satiny meringue-like sheen will be enough to convert you.

Raglan coconut yoghurt is produced by a small NZ-owned company, operating out of Raglan on the west coast. Their yoghurt is free from gluten, dairy, preservatives and refined sugars.

It is readily availiable all over the country, find a stockist near you: here.

For one 400ml jar it came in at $12.90, which is fairly pricey. However as you are supporting a small local business I feel that it is justified.

The nutritional information is as follows: Each (50g) serving contains… 527kJ of energy, 2.3g protein, 12.6g fat and 1.0g sugar.

Here’s an idea for how to use it…

Bircher museli with coconut yoghurt:

  • 1/4 c rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp yoghurt (regular)
  • 2 tsps chia seeds
  • 1/4 c almond milk
  • 1/2 banana, mashed
  • 1/2 apple, grated
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp chopped nuts/seeds
  • coconut yoghurt

Mix all the ingredients, except coconut yoghurt. Store in the fridge overnight. The next morning, top your museli with whatever fruit you desire, and a generous topping of coconut yoghurt. Dive in.

I’m giving this a solid 8 stars out of 10.
